How to increase your chances of getting a Tatkal Ticket on IRCTC website

If you are an Indian you must be aware of how difficult it is to get a Tatkal Ticket booked Online. The feeling when you a get a confirm Tatkal ticket is the same as if you won a lottery worth a million. Apart from the Internet connection that you are using, one of the most important factor between you and your confirmed booking is Time. You need to be very quick while you book a tatkal ticket and if you’re not a fast typist you may end up filling passenger detail form just to find that there are no seats left. For Tatkal tickets, IRCTC website opens at 8 AM in the morning and you have to be quick enough to fill the passenger detail form which can improve your chances of getting a ticket.

How To Access Blocked Websites

Many of you college students, or company employees must be facing this problem of sites getting blocked by your system administrators. Websites like Facebook, Youtube, espnstar etc are blocked either due to they consume a lot of bandwidth or due to students wasting too much time on them.

Have you ever tried to know how to access these websites when they are blocked? I guess some of you must have, even some of you may have succeeded also, but this is very useful post for those who are still searching for a way to access these blocked websites.

Here are some of the way using which you can access whatever sites you want to access and your system administrator can’t do anything even if he gets to know you are using these sites.

1) The simplest way is just use https instead of http when you write an address of the URL. Like use https://google.com instead of http://google.com . It works in some of the cases.

2) If it doesn’t work switch to the most common and the best method. Use some proxy server to view the site. Web proxies are used for hiding your IP address and by-passing work, school or other web filters.. There are millions of proxy servers which you can use free of cost. One of my favorite is HideMyAss. There is nothing to configure, just type-in the address of the website you want to visit and press ‘Go’.

3) Use IP address instead of Domain names (http://google.com , http://facebook.com). Or we can say the just convert domain name into binary and use this as URL. This is one the method which would work even if above two fails. How to get the IP address? Just go to start -> open cmd prompt and type Ping followed by whatever site you want to access. Like :

Ping google.com

You’ll get an IP address, which would be like 74.125.236.52

Copy paste this IP address into the URL box of your browser and you would see that you can easily access your blocked website.

There are some more ways but they are little complex then what I have posted here. 90% of the blocked sites you can access using these methods only.
